Spring Break - Northeast in New Orleans
Check out stories and pictures from our Winter Break 2006 New Orleans Trip.
Can't go on the trip, but still WANT to ASSIST? Help offset students' financial burden by partnering with us. GIVE online by clicking HERE and enter our ministry scholarship account #1991162.
WHERE: New Orleans, LA
WHEN: March 25-31
WHO: Anyone! Immediate need is requested for people to help with the rebirth of this coastal community. The city is coming alive again and we can help to clean, rebuild and restore the lives and homes of its residents.

WHAT: We have several partner organizations that are eager for our help. Tulane University has requested our help to clean out professor’s homes and public schools nearby to the university. The University of New Orleans has asked us to plant new trees around campus. Habitat for Humanity needs our help to build new homes. Desire Street Ministries in the ninth ward needs help to clean out 800 homes that were flooded.
What to pack and bring
HOW will you travel? Airplane. See detailed flight itinerary
HOW much will this cost? $400 per person
Cost includes: air travel, rental car, lodging, food, supplies, and snacks.
HOW will you fundraise? Our goal is to raise 100% of the funds needed. Here are some suggestions to get you started:
Ask friends, family, and churches to partner with you financially to meet the needs of those impacted by Hurricane Katrina. I think this is your best and most feasible option. If you asked 8 people to support you for $50, that's $450. Or, you could ask 4 people to support you for $100. Get the idea?
- If you have a job, work extra shifts.
- Start saving money now.
- Contact organizations for support, such as non-profits or companies you have connections with who would want to partner with you on this service project.
If money is still a barrier from you participating in this awesome adventure, please contact Brodie Herb (908) 319-3788.
